TAI CHI SPEAR

We offer training is available in the traditional Wu style spear power training exercises,  the Wu style Thirteen Methods spear form and the Twenty four Strategies form. This form can also be practiced with a staff. Spear training is an integral component of Tai Chi practice. It is used to develop body unity and relaxed power with the ability to release power for practical purposes. It strengthens the waist and the wrists and is used for aerobic conditioning. It is a great compliment to the empty handed slow form. The spear forms teach the practitioner to relax when there is resistance and to mobilize the mind and body to move the spear or staff. These are  traditional Wu style Tai Chi Forms passed on from Grand Master Wu Chen Chuan the founder of the Wu Style to Grand Master Ma Yueh Liang. Gerald Sharp learned this as an indoor student of Ma Yueh Liang. I learned it from Master Gerald Sharp
